Day 1: Moshi/Arusha to Lemosho Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira Camp

Distance: Approximately 10 km (6.2 miles)
Duration: 5-6 hours
Elevation Gain: 2,650m to 3,800m

The trek continues towards Shira Camp. Experience breathtaking landscapes and the unique vegetation that characterizes this part of the mountain. Your guide will share insights into the local flora and fauna.

Evening:

Arrive at Shira Camp for a delicious dinner and a chance to socialize with fellow trekkers.

Day 3: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp

Distance: Approximately 10 km (6.2 miles)
Duration: 6-7 hours
Elevation Gain: 3,800m to 4,000m

Hike from Shira Camp to Barranco Camp. Enjoy stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the Barranco Wall. This day will help your body acclimatize to the altitude as you camp at a slightly lower elevation.

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Distance: Approximately 7 km (4.3 miles)
Duration: 4-5 hours
Elevation Gain: 4,200m to 4,600m

Hike to Barafu Camp, your base for the final ascent. Spend the afternoon resting and preparing your gear for the summit attempt. The anticipation builds as you set out for your goal!

Evening:

Rest early and ensure you have everything ready for your summit attempt. Dinner is served early to allow for a good night's sleep.

Day 6: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp

Distance: Approximately 18 km (11.2 miles) round trip
Duration: 12-14 hours
Elevation Gain: 4,600m to 5,895m and descent to 3,100m

Start the ascent to Uhuru Peak under the stars. Celebrate your achievement at the summit before beginning the descent to Mweka Camp for your final night on the mountain.

Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

Your final descent takes you back to the Mweka Gate, where you will receive a certificate of completion for your trek. Celebrate your journey with your guides and fellow trekkers before heading back to Arusha for a well-deserved dinner and relaxation after an unforgettable adventure.

Day 8: Rest and Relaxation in Arusha

After your remarkable trekking experience, spend the day relaxing in Arusha. Enjoy a celebratory lunch with your group and share stories of the adventure. Explore the local markets or take a guided tour of Arusha National Park.

Evening:

Enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant, where you can reflect on your unforgettable journey up Mount Kilimanjaro and the friends you made along the way.
