Day 0: Arrival in Kilimanjaro

Activities: Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by our team. Transfer to your hotel in Moshi to relax and prepare for your adventure.

Evening: Participate in a pre-trek briefing, meet your experienced guides, review the itinerary, and enjoy a delightful Tanzanian dinner.

Day 1: Moshi to Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut

Distance: Approximately 8 km (5 miles)
Duration: 4-5 hours
Elevation Gain: 1,800m to 2,700m

Start your journey with a drive to Marangu Gate. After registration, begin trekking through the lush rainforest towards Mandara Hut, where you may spot various wildlife and enjoy the stunning surroundings.

Evening:

Arrive at Mandara Hut to enjoy dinner and rest in comfortable accommodations.

Day 2: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

Distance: Approximately 12 km (7.5 miles)
Duration: 5-7 hours
Elevation Gain: 2,700m to 3,700m

After breakfast, trek from Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut, passing through moorland and enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

Evening:

At Horombo Hut, have dinner and rest before preparing for the next day's journey.

Day 3: Acclimatization Day at Horombo Hut

Spend the day acclimatizing by hiking to Zebra Rocks for stunning views of Kilimanjaro. It's essential to adjust to the altitude and prepare for the ascent to Kibo Hut.

Evening:

Dinner and overnight stay at Horombo Hut.

Day 4: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

Distance: Approximately 10 km (6.2 miles)
Duration: 6-7 hours
Elevation Gain: 3,700m to 4,700m

Trek from Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut, passing through the alpine desert. The terrain becomes more rugged, and you'll start to feel the altitude.

Evening:

At Kibo Hut, enjoy an early dinner and rest before your summit attempt.

Day 5: Kibo Hut to Summit and Descent to Horombo Hut

Distance: Approximately 22 km (13.7 miles) round trip
Duration: 12-15 hours
Elevation Gain: 4,700m to 5,895m and back to 3,700m

Rise early to start your summit attempt to Uhuru Peak. Upon reaching the summit, enjoy the spectacular sunrise and breathtaking views. Afterward, descend back to Horombo Hut.

Evening:

Celebrate your achievement with dinner and rest at Horombo Hut.

Day 6: Horombo Hut to Mandara Hut

Distance: Approximately 12 km (7.5 miles)
Duration: 5-6 hours

Descend from Horombo Hut back to Mandara Hut, retracing your steps through the beautiful moorland and rainforest.

Evening:

Dinner and stay overnight in Mandara Hut.

Day 7: Mandara Hut to Marangu Gate

Distance: Approximately 8 km (5 miles)
Duration: 3-4 hours
