Arrive at Mandara Hut, where you will have dinner and spend the night. Enjoy the sounds of nature before settling in for a restful night.

After breakfast, continue your trek through the stunning moorland landscape. This section of the trek offers beautiful views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the surrounding landscapes. Take frequent breaks to enjoy the scenery and ensure proper acclimatization.
Arrive at Horombo Hut, where you’ll have dinner and prepare for the next day's ascent. You may enjoy some hot beverages and socialize with fellow trekkers.
Activities: This day is set aside for acclimatization. After breakfast, take a day hike to Zebra Rocks and explore the surrounding area, returning to Horombo Hut in the afternoon. This will help your body adjust to the altitude.
Optional Hike: If you feel energized, you can make an additional hike towards Kibo Hut for further acclimatization before heading back to Horombo.
Enjoy another delicious dinner and share stories with fellow trekkers under the parting clouds of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Today’s hike takes you to Kibo Hut, the base for your summit attempt. As you traverse the alpine desert, the landscape becomes more barren, with increasing elevation. Make sure to hydrate and pace yourself on this challenging stretch.
Upon arriving at Kibo Hut, have an early dinner, rest, and prepare for the midnight ascent to Uhuru Peak. Ensure all your gear is ready for the early morning departure.
Distance: Approximately 22 km (13.7 miles) round trip
Duration: 12-16 hours
Elevation Gain: 4,700m to 5,895m and descent to 3,720m
Start your ascent to Uhuru Peak around midnight. The trek is demanding but the magnificent sunrise at the summit makes every effort worth it. Celebrate your achievement, take pictures, and soak in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.
After a short celebration at the peak, make your way back down to Kibo Hut for a quick rest and then continue your descent to Horombo Hut for a well-deserved dinner and rest.
